Writing a book these days seems to be the easy part of becoming a published author.  Getting exposure and recognition for your published work is another matter entirely.  Living in Alaska adds one more layer of difficulty to the process.  The Alaskan Association of Authors was founded on the principle that we need to work together to get our books in the public eye.  Marketing and event planning is expensive and time consuming.  Become a member and you too can be a part of a cooperative of Alaskan Authors working together to  get our books in front of potential readers.

What We Do...

We plan and purchase space at events all over the state of Alaska.  Member authors that are interested, can have their books displayed at these events for a portion of the cost.  Many authors have jobs, kids, and other commitments that make it impossible to attend many events that could create book sales.  

Your submission for inclusion to these events do not have to be Alaskana.  They do, however, have to be reviewed.  We have to feel that we can be enthusiastic marketers of your book  for it to be included in our events.
